Naz grew up hearing wild stories of his father’s childhood in Guyana. South American tales of alligators, tarantulas, and snakes fostered a love for animals that never died. While he never had pets as a kid, the passion built through stories inspired Naz to open Nature’s Studio Pet Supplies in Queens, NY.

Nature’s Studio filled a gap New York City was seriously lacking: a place that offered more than pets, and that fostered an exchange of information between like-minded animal enthusiasts. This mindset has inspired Naz to develop their customer service and keep innovative products stocked in store.

While Rhacodactylus species, and especially Leachianus, are Naz’s personal favorite, he keeps many aquatic, scaled, and furry pets stocked in store. They breed all their hamsters, guinea pigs, and chinchillas in house, they breed parakeets in house and stock parrots, cockatiels, finches, and doves, and they keep fresh/saltwater fish and corals. For reptiles, they focus on crested geckos, leachianus, chahoua geckos, bearded dragons, and corn snakes.
