Our store of the month for June is Fin & Feather Pet Center!

63 years ago, Henrico, Virginia needed a brave soul willing to step up and serve fresh live insects to the reptiles of the community. Fin & Feather Pet Center was up to the task, and since opening has evolved into a full-line pet store with dog, cat, reptile, aquarium, and pond supplies.

Their aquatic section is the most extensive. Their main store has fresh and saltwater plants, animals, and supplies, and they have a separate building next door with koi fish, pond plants, and pond supplies. The hope to expand the aquatics department even more in the next couple months.

Most of the employees have pets at home, including Caiman lizards, ackie monitors, many species of snakes, fish, turtles, and tortoises, and lots of other scaled and furry creatures. Growing up, the owner even had iguanas and tegus, and was inspired by nature shows to work at a pet store.
