Agocs Exotics opened to provide quality reptiles, invertebrates, and healthy feeders to the Southwest Florida community in April 2022. They were quickly recognized as the go-to pet store for the area. By vending at reptile shows from Jacksonville to Fort Lauderdale, Agocs Extoics has served reptile enthusiasts throughout Florida. They take pride in the large assortment of high-quality feeders to give reptiles the biggest diet diversity and to provide enrichment. They personally breed the rodents & discoid roaches to ensure feeders are gut-loaded to provide the very best diet for their customers’ pets. Arachnid and invertebrate enthusiasts drive long distances to come to this store as the employees have over 50 years of hands-on experience keeping and breeding tarantulas. All the store owners and staff have a passion for reptiles and invertebrates to provide a high-quality customer experience when visiting Agocs Exotics.
This reptile store is unique in that each family member, Jodi, Ed, Caitlyn, Eddie, Maddy, & Tyler, has specialties that bring value to the business and customers. This knowledge is recognized and appreciated, creating loyal customers.
- Jodi and Caitlyn are the masterminds behind the store and business, keeping it all running and shelves stocked. Jodi keeps and breeds New Caledonian geckos, Frogs, Western Hognose snakes & over 30 tarantulas.
- Ed breeds ball pythons and rodents for the store. Along with running the store, ‘Ed Agocs Honey Bee Removal’ has been a local bee removal business since 2009, where they relocate beehives to aspiring beekeepers in southwest Florida. Look out for local honey occasionally offered in the store.
- Eddie & Maddy are experts on tarantulas and all other arachnids/invertebrates. They personally breed many species and have an extensive collection available at all times in the store or at shows. They also specialize in boas and monitors.
- Caitlyn and Tyler breed many designer morph colubrid and crested geckos. They also run the 3D print farm where they operate over 40 printers to produce hundreds of designs. From fidget toys to reptile accessories, they supply the family’s reptile shop as well as other stores and vendors. When customers come into the store, many will add a new 3D print toy to their collection.
In January 2026, Agocs Exotics moved to a larger location with 2,500 square feet of retail space. When you visit the store, you can expect to see store mascots, including Ian, a normal ball python rescued and named after the destructive Category 5 Hurricane that made landfall in this area. Other store mascots include Beth a yellow rat snake, Spud an Egyptian Uromastyx, Morticia a Brazilian Giant White Knee tarantula & Jessie a bearded dragon. Also look for the colony of Socotra Island Blue Baboon tarantulas (Monocentropus balfouri), which is rare to see a community of tarantulas that are happy living together!
They always have a large variety of reptiles, Zoo Med supplies, and feeders in stock. They offer custom reptile tank bioactive builds to customers. Agocs Exotics has encouraged the ever-increasing customer interest in natural bio-active enclosures by stocking heavily on terrariums, natural wood products, tropical bio-blend, springtails, and isopods to support the category.
