Artistic Reptiles is our store of the month for June! Stacy Salazar, along with her husband Alberto and parents Richard and Debbie Cox, joined forces in early 2023 to open Artistic Reptiles and fill a niche that had been missing in Zephyrhills, FL, for over 20 years.

Artistic Reptiles quickly gained a strong & loyal customer base and their reputation for excellent reptiles brought in customers from all over. The Salazar family has over 35 years of experience keeping and breeding reptiles, and their store operates a separate farm with a breeding center for ball pythons, crested geckos, gargoyle geckos, leaf tail geckos, monitor lizards (lace, ackies, Spencer’s, crocs, + others) and all the rodent feeders that are sold at the store.

Alberto says, “There is just something addictive about reptiles. The variety of sizes, colors, diets, and habitats. There is endless possibility of what can be done and there’s definitely a reptile that fits in any family.”

Artistic Reptiles recently had a huge anniversary sale with giveaways and prizes to thank customers for making this store a success. When asked what they like about owning a pet store Stacy said:

“We love having the store because it really gives people somewhere reliable to get what they need for their pets but also where they can go and see a variety of animals and learn how to care for them… We want people to be confident in their decision and have all the facts when taking home a new pet, and the store gives us that time to talk with our customers and get to know them. There is a reptile for every family dynamic and sometimes having the time with people makes all the difference in finding a reptile they are going to love for years to come. There is nothing more satisfying than having return customers come in and telling us how happy they are with their new animal.”
