Owner Steve’s vision for the store has held true since day one. Their pet and aquarium centers strive to inspire, educate, and provide families across the Upper Valley region with a refreshed love for the fascinating animals that make up our planet and homes. By providing the products that are needed, educating families on proper pet care, and creating an experience resembling that of a zoo or aquarium, a visit to the stores has infused a lifetime of memories in thousands of kids and visitors.
Manager, Jen and Assistant Manager, Danyle have both worked at Claremont Pet and Aquarium for 25 years and over that time have seen many great advancements and trends in pet care. Recently expanding the reptile department and focusing on bioactive enclosures, the team has grown a vast love for plants and isopods.
Aside from reptiles, Claremont Pet and Aquarium also breeds and hand feeds/raises parakeets in house. Being able to offer a child a friendly, hand-raised parakeet as their first bird is one of the many highlights that keeps Jen and Danyle driven to provide the experience visioned when they first opened.
While walking through the zoo-like exhibits in the store, you may come across resident birds, Finley and Chicken. Both who love to create custom art to offer to their visitors. Claremont Pet and Aquarium also encourages school trips, offers small dog grooming and wing and nail trimming.
Claremont Pet and Aquarium believes, ““When you shop with us, not only are you shopping local and purchasing high-quality pet products, but you are also investing in our mission to educate and inspire kids on animal care and conservation taken all throughout the Upper Valley.”
